Unknown.
Material and techniques:
Mortar recovered with marble in the noble area, it was adorned with mosaics, reliefs and sculptures around the rooms.
Location: It is in the San Juan and San Pedro, 3 - 7 street, in Zaragoza, in ancient times, between the forum and the theater.
Dimensions: 9,7 m length, but was estimated that in ancient times it was 15,8 m.
Historical context: In the I a.C. century, it was made in the period of Tiberio.

It has been reformed in diverse occasions since it was opened.

Material y técnicas: Se utilizó mármol, se adornó con mosaicos, relieves y esculturas alrededor de la sala.

Emplazamiento: Se encuentra en la calle San Juan y San Pedro, 3-7, en Zaragoza, antiguamente Caesaraugusta, entre el foro y el teatro.

Dimensiones: 9,7 m. de longitud, pero se estima que antes medía 15,8 m.

Contexto histórico del edificio: En el siglo I a.C. al IV d.C., se construyó en época de Cesaraugusto.

Transcripciones: No hay ninguna.

¿Ha sido restaurado? ¿Cuándo? ¿Por qué?... Ha sido reformado en diversas ocasiones desde que fue descubierto.

The triclinare tableware

Name: The triclinare tableware

Name of the artist: M. Perennius Tigranus, Arretium (Arezzo, Italy)

Material and techniques: Pottery and is decorated in a mold with Bacchanalian scene. It was made in a mold Univalve, and finished around, to complete design was added to the handle.

Where it was made and found: In the Colonia Celsa (Velilla de Ebro, Zaragoza)

When it was made and found: Realized at the end of the first century a.C

Dimensions: Height: 15.5 cm mouth diameter: 15.5 cm base diameter: 9.2 cm.

Description: Ceramic vase, used as a container for drinking wine

Historical context:Time of Augustus

Thematic: Four maenads dance with rattles and light coats, to the sound of a double flute Silenus seated between them. It highlights the delicacy of the modeling of the figures, with tunics attached to the body of the Maenads, enhancing the movement of the same. At the top of the decoration is framed by a row of lateral ovas. Handle applied geminate section, decorated with ram's head in his boot.

La vajilla triclinar

Nombre: Vajilla triclinar.

Nombre del artista: M. Perennius Tigranus, Arretium (Arezzo, Italia)

Material y técnicas: Cerámica y esta decorado a molde con escena báquica. Se fabricó en un molde univalvo, y se terminó a torno; para completar el diseño se le añadió el asa.

Dónde fue realizado y encontrado: En la Colonia Celsa (Velilla de Ebro, Zaragoza)

Cuándo fue realizado y encontrado: Realizado a finales del siglo I a. de C.
Fue encontrado aproximadamente en 1930.

Dimensiones: Altura: 15,5 cm; diámetro boca: 15,5 cm; diámetro base: 9,2 cm.

Descripción: Vaso de cerámica, se usaba como recipiente para beber vino.

Contexto histórico: Época de Augusto.

Temática: Cuatro ménades danzan con sistros y ligeras túnicas, al son de la doble flauta de un Sileno sentado en medio de ellas. Sobresale la delicadeza del modelado de las figuras, con las túnicas adheridas al cuerpo de las ménades, realzando el movimiento de las mismas. En la parte superior la decoración está enmarcada por una fila de ovas.Asa lateral aplicada, de sección geminada, adornada por cabeza de carnero en su arranque.

Portrait of Emperor Claudius. 50-52 d.C

Name: Portrait of Emperor Claudius.

Name of the artist: Unknown

Material and techniques: Parian marble, the head was airbrushed with clay and repainted in the eighteenth century to hide the bumps and abrasions that he received at the time of its discovery. The portrait bust was placed on a modern, all on a marble plinth from Calatorao in the seventeenth century.

Where it was made and found:Was found in 1662 by a farmer from Huérmeda and bought by Miguel Martin de Villanueva, Count of San Clemente, being deposited in the Museum of Zaragoza in 1868 by the Aragonese Economic Society to Friends of the Country.

When it was made and found: Realized in 50-52 a.C. It was discovery in 1662.

Description: The statue shows a the realistic picture of Claudius , representing the emperor in its advanced stage (about 50-52 A.C)

Transcription of the inscriptions: OCT. AVG. CAES .IMP.
Bambola me clausit tenebris, Bibilis olim/ laetor ut ex comitis lumine luce fruar.
TRANSLATION: TO OCTAVIUS AUGUSTUS CAESAR EMPEOR.
Bambola the once very posperous Bilbilis,locked myself in the darkness to came out light thanks to Count.
The inscription was realized in the XVII century , when the head was found.

Historical context: This portrait, together with others of Augustus, Tiberius and Drusus Minor, statuary honor belongs to the cycle that arose in Bilbilis, in tribute to the dynasty julioclaudia, some of them were found in the Roman theatre of Bilbilis

RETRATO DEL EMPERADOR CLAUDIO. 50-52 d.C.

Nombre: Retrato del emperador Claudio, Claudio de Bilbilis.

Nombre del artista: Se desconoce.

Material y técnicas: Mármol de Paros,la cabeza fue retocada con arcilla y repintada en el siglo XVIII para disimular los golpes y erosiones que recibió en el momento de su hallazgo. El retrato se situó sobre un busto moderno y todo ello sobre un plinto de mármol de Calatorao en el siglo XVII.

Dónde fue realizado y encontrado: Fue encontrada en el año 1662 por un labrador de Huérmeda y comprada por Miguel Martín de Villanueva, conde de San Clemente, siendo depositada en el Museo de Zaragoza en 1868 por la Sociedad Económica Aragonesa de Amigos del País.

Cuándo fue realizado y encontrado: Realizado 50-52 d. C. Se encontro en 1662.

Dimensiones: 0,35 m. cabeza; 0,76 m. torso.

Descripción: Corresponde al tipo principal de Claudio (realista), que representa al emperador en su etapa avanzada (cerca 50-52 d. C.)

TRADUCCIÓN: En las tinieblas me encerro Bámbola, la en otro tiempo muy próspera Bilbilis para que disfrute de la luz gracias al Conde

La inscripción se hizo en el siglo 17, cuando se encontro la cabeza.

Contexto histórico: Este retrato, juntamente con otros de Augusto, Tiberio y Drusus Minor, pertenece al ciclo honorífico estatuario que se alzó en Bilbilis, en homenaje a la dinastía julioclaudia, algunos de ellos se encontraron en el teatro romano de Bilbilis

Name: Hydria with Priam and four-horse chariots.

Name of the artist: Priam painter.

Material of the artist: Pottery and black-figure technique.

Where it wasmade and found: Unknown.

When it was made and found: Realized 520-510 C.a

Dimensions: height 49; diam. mouth 24 cm.

Description: Large vessel used to carry water. It had three handles: one on each side of the body of the container used to lift and transport, and third, located in the center compared to the other two, used for pouring water.

Historical context: Years 520-510 b.C

Thematic: The king of Troy, Priam (old man with beard and white hair) get ready to leave on a car to go to the store and beg Achilles for the body of his son, Hector. In front of the car a king's son had the reins of the horses; on the left the Paris scene, wearing Phrygian cap. On the shoulder of the vessel, a chariot race.

Where it is to be seen now: At the Museum of Zaragoza.
